Grass clipping
« on: December 20, 2021, 08:49:57 AM »
Hi guys,
I have these white lines on the field that don't want to render regular. I use standard builtin grass with edge clipping enabled. Tried several options off, like for camera clipping etc but I still get these results. Any ideas?
The area for lines is 20cm so not really that thin. It's a mesh object.
Thx

Oh and I'm using "large" presets...maybe I should use detail? Any way I can make large work here?

In this case, I would use detail for the white lines. The patches that are used for large presets could very well fall outside of the clipping spline otherwise.

Thanks,
Paul

For this case it would be much better to use ForestColor. Nothing needs to be clipped.
Edit:
For lines, use VrayDistance (if it is a Vray).

I created a very simple scene with no textures.
