Max 2021 FP 6.3.1 Corona IR Crash
« on: February 23, 2021, 01:23:29 PM »
I'm getting regular crashes while using Corona Interactive and Forest Pack.  I'm on the latest versions of each piece of software.  First I contacted the Corona team, they've looked at the mini dump and claimed the culprit is a ForestPackPro.dlo

I attach the mini dump here.

Basically whenever I'm in Corona Interactive, if I try to do anything in the material editor it crashes.

It's a pretty major issue as it's currently making Corona IR unusable, it would be good to know if its a known issue and whether there's a fix?

We have introduced many changes in Forest 7 (currently in beta), which improves the stability with interactive renderers (both Corona and V-Ray).

I would suggest you upgrade to FP7 beta. Current version is ready to be used in production, and hopefully we'll release the final version in next days (we just making changes to the installer and tools).

No. There are not known issues, but this release include many changes. Although it has been tested while months, a public release may arise issues which were hidden while the beta.

In these cases, probably it's a good idea to complete your current project with FP6, and update a bit later.
