forest pack 4   presets are messing up the materials

Hi I'm a big fan of forest presets and started using them a short time ago. but now I'm having a big problem

when i import the a forest  object from my library ( previously tested and fully working on the original scene) the materials are all messed up, for example : the bark material is applied to the  leaves and vice versa , or the  orange tree material is applied to  a different  tree (that was supposed to be green).

what can this be?  how can i fix it?

thanks!

Please, check if your presets are using particular material names. On the library loading process, materials are merged from the Max file, so if exist others in the scene with the same name may be overwritten.

In the Library Browser there is "On duplicate material" selector ("Use scene materials", "Overwrite", "Ask to user"), but it only defines the behaviour in case or conflict, don't solve it.

For our presets, we use unique names as: _fp_grass_a, _fp_daisy, etc. Also for the next Forest update, material presets can be stored in a .mat file, that eases the organization task.

Thanks for your quick answer I'm going to check it, but is it a way to fix  the existing scene?.

Thanks!

Well, if you rename the materials correctly in the presets, and reassign them to the scene using the library browser, that would fix the object automatically. I never tried that procedure, anyway.
