Using Windows 8.1, Max Design 2015+SP2, vray 2.50.01, forestpack 4.3.6
When using a spline include area set to the new Edge boundary checking mode, and a spline exclude area, if Exclude Falloff is enabled, Max crashes on render, prior to the vfb spawning. I did a few tests, and have included a file you can reproduce the error on.
even compressed, my test file and minidump were over the 1m limit, so I've shared them here:

e: btw, edge mode has made things a lot simpler, so other than this issue, my team is really stoked about it!

Thanks for your help to isolate the problem. We could reproduce and fix it.
I just sent you a Forest patch by e-mail. Please, try it in your production scene. If everything is ok, we'll prepare a public update.

Hi, im having exactly the same issue, too bad as we are meeting our deadline and it seems now we can't open the scenes, autobackup files also. Can i also try the patch ? We are really meeting our deadline here and nothing more to do. My scene even crashes at load times. When i remove ForestPack plugin i can open the scene and render it fine, but thats not helping as i'm losing all the greenery in the scene.
Best Regards
Andrian.
