3dsmax crash
« on: August 29, 2013, 11:04:14 AM »
Hi,
I'm having some problem when trying to copy forest object. Setting are not complicated - 5 plants and 1 spline area
I press Ctrl+V then I choose 'Copy' and 3dmax crashes (this is not the first time and not only in this particular 3dmax scene)
I'm just wondering if someone else had same issues.

Thx

Yes, this problem is identified and fixed in Forest Pro 4.1 (currently in beta). You can download it from the User Panel->Beta versions, or wait to the final release (that should be available in the next weeks).

any walk-around for the moment?
suspicious to switch to betta to keep all work safe (and betta installer is smaller than 4.0.3... why?)

No, sorry. Unfortunately there is not a walkaround for 4.0.3.

Beta installer is smaller because now preset scenes uses an unique max file, instead one for each rendering engine as before. About the beta stability, there are not reported bugs until now and all scenes are compatible. Anyway, as always i suggest to make a copy of the scene before upgrading. Also be sure to read the note about changes in presets.
