Projection issue
« on: August 17, 2016, 12:32:19 PM »
Hi,

I have an issue with FP :
I create a closed line to project a forest on an object
When i move the line on Z axis, the forest moves on his surface, so i have projection problems because the forest doesn't fit exactly with the aera projection.
Thank you for your help

Hi,

Would you mind to provide us more details regarding these troubles (some screen-shot(s) would be handy)? Moving the spline on Z axis used as the Spline Area shouldn't affect the distribution and I would suggest you to double check local coordinates of involved objects. Please feel free to send us your scene to check it here.

Best regards,

Hi,

Such behaviour is caused by the orientation of local coordinates of used surface "Plane001" - to avoid it I would suggest to apply the Reset XForm utility over that surface to reset its local coordinates & scale. Attaching comparison between Forest objects over surface with rotated local coordinates and after reset.

Best regards,

Hi, thank you for your reply,

It works on the test file I sent you, but the problem stills the same on my project file.
I sent you a new file.

For example when I move the Line 009 on the z axis, the FP gravel is moving on the Plane 001 (the plane is a editable poly).
The reset Xform utility reset doesn’t work for this case.

Thank you for your help.
