Forest Pro and Railclone don't install plugin files
ViperCG:
I recently did the upgrade for 3ds max 2025 and when I installed the plugin, it didn't install the plugin files into the 3ds max folder. I have since uninstalled everything and re installed again, and it still doesn't find it. I even chose the option to choose the paths, and it seems it doesn't recognize my 2024 or 2025 installations of 3ds max. How can I fix this?
Michal Karmazín:
Hi,
In the case of 3ds max 2025, please install the latest beta versions, which include support for 3ds max 2025. These can be downloaded from the User Panel in the Downloads - Beta versions section.
We're currently focused on the upcoming release of FP9, with several public beta versions already available. While we are working hard to bring this to completion, we haven't set a specific release date yet. Thank you for your understanding. As mentioned earlier by my colleague Carlos here: "The plugins are completed, but we continue working on the ForestIvy library and the auxiliary software. Unfortunately, we cannot give you a release date. If you are in a hurry to use Max 2025, you can use beta versions safely. There will be few differences with the final release."
I hope that helps.
Best regards,
ViperCG:
Thanks for the reply Michael. I don't that's the problem though cause it's also not installing for 3ds max 2024. And I can't install the beta version anyway cause my license is expired.
RealViz:
Probably your license expired when the plugin for 2024 and 2025 was not yet available. In that case you need to purchase a license renewal.
Michal Karmazín:
I'm sorry to hear you're facing these troubles. In recent versions, for the 3ds max 2022 and above, our plug-ins are now installed at C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins, using the latest package format for plugins and the installer should be pointing there.
I hope that helps.
Best regards,
