Hi,

Have you seen the real-time geometry exclusion tutorial?
http://www.itoosoft.com/forestpack.php
then =>  Parametric Areas tutorial.
on 0:30 sec there's a topic "real-time geometry exclusion"

does that work for railClone?

Hi,

Thanks for the query. I can confirm that RailClone does indeed work as an exclude area with Forest Pack. Just select it from the scene using the Object Area button (in the usual way.  Here's a screen grab from a recent presentation that demonstrates a RailClone stone path excluding grass made with Forest Pack.

Hope that helps,

Many thanks,

Paul

Hello,
I 'm 2hours newbie and I cannot find how to make this function work.
I'd like to consider the RailClone Object as an Exclude Area for ForestPack
Please find attached a exemple scene.
Thanks for your help

Hi,

Thanks for the question. Please try setting the RailClone and Forest Pack's coordinates to world origin (0,0).

Best,
Paul

For ForestPack Object: Display>Render>Max items> Increase by x10 or try value 0. Also, for better edge detection You can increase Resolution for Railclone object (Areas>Select Railclone001>Resolution)

For RailClone Object: Display>Render> Uncheck `Use instancing Engine`.

Sorry for not elaborating but I`m at some deadline project.
