Title: Forest with XY mode

Hi,

Just wonder why the XY mode under the surface tab can't work normally?

Pls find my attached max file.

Hi!

Thanks for the question. The issue is that Forest Pack uses it's local X/Y plane to project scattered objects, so you need to rotate it by 90 degrees so that its Z axis is aligned with the plane. On top of that, the plane's XY axis should also be aligned to the face. I generally do this by rotating it flat to the world's XY plane, resetting the XFom and then rotating it back into its final position.
