Feature Suggestion: Smarter search in Library View
« on: January 03, 2017, 11:36:55 AM »
Hello,

Currently, the search field needs an overhaul. If there is plant called European Larch, I can't search for "Larch", but instead I have to type "European". If I know the full name, so why would I need to search?

Also, we need to be able to search in sub-folders, ie if I am in the top-location, "Libraries", I should be able to search for "Larch".

Hi, you are right. I just modified it, changes will be included in next FP and RC updates.

Unfortunately this is more difficult to implement actually, because library items are not loaded all at once, but dinamically when clicking of the catalog. So we cannot do a full search in a convenient way.
We have plans to rewrite the library interface completely, to include this and other suggestions. I hope it can be done soon.

Thanks for your reply.
A sub-folder search would be a bonus, but better search is still very welcome.

Looking forward to the upcoming update!  ;D
