Title: FP 6.1.2 dont clean "forest_tamplate" layer?
Post by: RealViz on November 02, 2018, 01:24:46 PM
Hi, i just mention that FP 6.1.2 dont clean my layer from any unused object. I just try new clean scene.
New FP object then import from lib (anything from starter lib for example). Then save. Close the scene, open it again and delete FP object. Save, and nothing happend. FP layer still have the old asset from old FP object. I know that it working very well. But now :-(
Is there bug in 6.1.2? Or I missing something? THX

edit: After saving, I create a new FP that does not contain anything. Only for sure that FP still present in scene.

I tried exactly Your steps and find it working as expected (max 2016). What max version are You using- I will try with that one as well.

Works fine too.

Note. Please not only create empty Forest Pack object but please select it too.
For me it does not clean the scene if it is only created. Please select it (even empty ForestPack does the trick).

Thanks its working. But only for traditional objects. I often use groups https://forum.itoosoft.com/forest-pro-(*)/scattering-groups-5300/ (https://forum.itoosoft.com/forest-pro-(*)/scattering-groups-5300/) like in your tut. Then using this group in library. These groups wont delete. I know it specific but it will be good to working.

I can confirm some issues with cleaning up forest_template Layer. Added to the issues list. Thank You for noticing and informing us about it.

Anyway importing item from Starter Library seems to clean all orphans. Have You encountered a situation where You have many orphans in this layer and ForestPack won't delete them.

I would ask You to send us  (https://forum.itoosoft.com/faq/how-to-send-a-file-to-itoo-software/)such scene so we can analyze.
