camera - limit to visibility problem
« on: November 03, 2011, 10:34:54 AM »
Hello,
i stumbled upon a bug:
when u MERGE the forest pack object from different scene, apply it to new surface and then try and use camera limit to visibility on it instea dof working as intended it slices visibility at the point of camera (objects are invisible to the left of camera and visible to the right) instead of showing them within view cone of cam.

Please, trying clicking "Surface->Update surfaces data" and "Display->Update", to rebuild the Forest object.

If the problem is permanent, please send us the scene for checking.

I tried to reproduce the bug here, but it doesn't fail using a basic scene (as usual with bugs lately... >:()

Ok, the problem is the "Far clipping plane" in the Camera rollout. It has zero value, which generates an unexpected behaviour in the clipping routine.

Well, not in Forest. You must set a very far distance to it.
