Title: Fp Scale and FBX Import
Post by: paulmonsef on August 07, 2017, 07:41:12 PM
I've tried linking my revit models into MAX and the scaling works fine when I add grasses, etc... But, due to lighting/shading issues i had to switch to FBX imports and FP imports are scaling way too big.

Units match with Revit. Feet & Inches.

any thoughts?

draw a box 1meter x 1 meter x 1 meter from max primitives and show as viewport

Thx. I will do when I step back in the office.

I did check the sidewalk after it was imported and it did show as 4 feet wide.

Here are the two scenarios with a 12" x 12" x 12" box. FBX is clearly messed up.

Hi,

That looks like an import / units / rescaling issue as when using any "scaled surface(s)" Forest will inherit this scale (and that's not always desirable). In these cases, I would suggest you to apply the Reset XForm utility over that surface to reset its local coordinates & scale.

Generally, if you are using an imported surface, usually it's handy to apply the Reset XForm utility on it to "reset" it's local coordinates.

Hope that helps, but if the problem persist, please feel free to send us (http://forum.itoosoft.com/index.php?topic=3648.0)  your scene to analyse it here. Thanks in advance.

Best regadrs,
