And I set the path to the appropriate one in the "External Files" Customization section.

Please can you advise ??

Full.bmp is one of the distribution maps included with Forest. It should be located automatically by the Asset tracker.

Please, check if you have the following path in "External Files", and if this folder exists in your machine:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Itoo Software\Forest Pack Pro\distmaps\images

What Max version do you use ?

Hi Carlos,

I just checked and I do have a distmaps folder and that is where the full.bmp is.

But in another thread I saw a different "External Files" path to use, not the one you specified here.

Do I put both in External Files"  ??

Please advise.

There are several Forest paths that must be in External Files, specifically these:

c:\program files (x86)\itoo software\forest pack pro\distmaps\images
c:\program files (x86)\itoo software\forest pack pro\maps\HShadows
c:\program files (x86)\itoo software\forest pack pro\maps\Standard
c:\program files (x86)\itoo software\forest pack pro\maps\Classic
c:\program files (x86)\itoo software\forest pack pro\maps\Presets
c:\program files (x86)\itoo software\forest pack pro\lib\Free Models\HQPlants Free\maps


It is not necessary to configure them manually: when Forest is loaded, it checks if the first one exists, if not all of them are added automatically (the plugin shows a warning message before).

In this case, i suggest to remove all Forest paths from the configuration, restart max and use Forest. It should fix the paths as described above.

Adding those paths *manully* fixes my problem, thank you.

As a sidenote, I find that not having them in my list, and restarting 3DS Max, and using Forest, does NOT work for me, it still fails.

I need to add these paths manually (wondering if it may be due to me having a *lot* of paths in my particular list ??).

That should not be a problem, unless the Max function used to check the path is not working well (i have not tested this specific case).

Anyway, we are going to modify slightly this function, to check each one of the paths. That will solve the problem of the "Preset" path, which is not added if the others already exist.
