FPP and dependences
« on: January 18, 2019, 01:25:39 AM »
Hello,

We have just updated to Max 2018 and I have noticed something odd that seems specific to FPP.

We have some copy and past scripts where you can select a single, or multiple FPP objects and copy and paste to another file. This used to work great as it automatically took all the dependencies.

Now in 2018 this doesn't work - it copies the FPP but nothing else.

I then tried to do it manually in the max layer dialogue - if you select the surface object it selects the dependencies including the FPP object. If you select the FPP object however it doesn't select any dependents.

I realise that there is the right-click menu to select dependencies but this is not as good as it doesn't work when multiple FPP objects are selected.

This problem does not occur in max 2016.

Hi

I have modified one of the scripts to work with ForestPack Pro / RailClone Pro in 2018+ versions.
Check it here.
