Hello,
It seems I'm having problems with a fairly basic setup of multiple forest objects.
I have a scene with multiple forest objects and some are added in the Area as exclude object for other forest objects. But now when I'm using VRay DR it appears the render nodes are NOT respecting the forest area exclude. I have attached some render samples of the problem (using only one render node). The render node seems to render objects where they should have been excluded by the added forest object exclude area.
I have also attached a simplified scene in which the problem also occurs. Since the issue can be recreated using a simple scene, it means it isn't related to the actual scenes I'm working on. What I have in the simple scene is one plane, used by two forest objects as surface. The second forest object (small boxes) uses the first forest object (large spheres) in area as an exclude.
Once I set the scale of the forest object area exclude to something higher than 100% (200% in the attached example), the problem becomes more visible. The shape of the forest exclude area is of no influence. I have tried with mesh and sphere and with various resolution settings.
Also... it happens somewhat at random... sometimes everything is fine but most of the times it isn't.
If I render it on the local machine only, no problems. When I start using any or all of my render nodes, things go wrong.
This happened with Forest v3.9.2 and also with 3.9.3 which I installed on all of my machines after I noticed the problem. I have also tried reinstalling the plugin but that doesn't solve the problem.
Could you please take a look and/or advice on how to solve this? I'm in the middle of a project and the deadline is approaching FAST. Not being able to use DR has obviously increased render times immensely
Thanks very much in advance!
John
