handrail - evenly spacing and adjusting problem
« on: December 10, 2018, 07:04:31 PM »
Hey,

I am trying to create a handrail, with
•   a longer post at corner and evenly distance and
•   a shorter post for evenly distance between the longer posts.

I want the posts to be
•   evenly spaced along the spline and
•   the spacing between the posts to adjust to the length of the spline.

I also want the distance between the shorter posts and the longer post to be symmetric and in the same distance as the spacing in between the shorter posts.
Sounds confusing… ;)

I attached a picture of what I want and a picture of what I am getting instead, maybe that makes it clearer…

Hi

There is Sub-Evenly macro for such cases. Please check this thread with similar case.
Hope this helps.

If that does not help,- please share Your scene here or use this form to contact us if You can't attach files publicly.
Also You can use WeTransfer if compressed file is large and paste the link in message.

Hey,

thank you for your answer.

I took the macro out of the thread-example you posted and got it running for normal corners. It still remains a problem with symmetric corners though. Would be nice if you could help me with that... The symmetric corners option seems to mess it all up :)

I did send my file to: helpdesk@itoosoft.com

Kind regards
Bettina
