Title: handrail - evenly spacing and adjusting problem
Post by: JS4753 on December 10, 2018, 07:04:31 PM
Hey,

I am trying to create a handrail, with
•   a longer post at corner and evenly distance and
•   a shorter post for evenly distance between the longer posts.

I want the posts to be
•   evenly spaced along the spline and
•   the spacing between the posts to adjust to the length of the spline.

I also want the distance between the shorter posts and the longer post to be symmetric and in the same distance as the spacing in between the shorter posts.
Sounds confusing… ;)

I attached a picture of what I want and a picture of what I am getting instead, maybe that makes it clearer…

Hi

There is Sub-Evenly macro for such cases. Please check this thread  (https://forum.itoosoft.com/railclone-pro-(*)/another-railing-style/msg20124/#msg20124)with similar case.
Hope this helps.

If that does not help,- please share Your scene here or use this form  (https://secure.itoosoft.com/userpanel/contact_form.php) to contact us if You can't attach files publicly.
Also You can use WeTransfer (https://wetransfer.com/) if compressed file is large and paste the link in message.

Hey,

thank you for your answer.

I took the macro out of the thread-example you posted and got it running for normal corners. It still remains a problem with symmetric corners though. Would be nice if you could help me with that... The symmetric corners option seems to mess it all up :)

I did send my file to: helpdesk@itoosoft.com

Kind regards
