Hidden polygons
« on: March 23, 2018, 08:03:30 PM »
Hello,
I noticed that when I scatter an object that has hidden polygons, these polygons show up in Forest object when rendered.
Will there be an option keep hidden polygons hidden from the rendering as well?
Thanks

Hi,

Interesting. I didn't realize there is an option to hide polygons, and these are hidden on render as well.

We'll check it. But i don't know if it will be possible to preserve the 'hide' flag, because meshes are transformed by several processes before going to render.

It 's not a big issue though as you can always use an alternative method of applying a "DeleteMesh" modifier for the polygons you want to keep hidden without having to actually hide them. This method keeps the polygons "removed" in the rendered forest object.
