Title: how to: forest on multiple level base geometry (tower balconies)

Dear all, I have a simple question. Is there a way to apply forest pack simultaneously on multiple layers, namely onto tower balconies?
So that it apply forest to each balconies above and not only the most top one?
To put some green on balconies is very typical nowadays and can be very time consuming for masses of towers to look random... not to speak about modifications on them. Would be wonderful to have the same easiness to add manipulate them at once in each level.
AS far as I know this is not possible... please let me know if im wrong, otherwise this would be an awesome feature for next release to enable multi level geometries. -thanks

Hi there,

There are several ways how to archive desired effect. From release 4.1.2 there is Randomize Stacked function. Please check attached screenshots.

1) You can use UV mode of scattering on surfaces and then slightly change UV mapping for different levels.

2) Using XY mode with the Randomize Stacked option marked. To allow the Randomize Stacked function to work you'll need to detach it to several objects and assign them back in Surface tab. This way you can use it also in UV mode.

Hi guys,

Even though I have split my balcony ground planes into separate objects using XY mode (Randomise stacked on) it still only scatters on the uppermost surface (no overlaps). I need to use XY to control the density and scale falloffs in Areas.

It works in UV mode but I need to use XY mode.
