Using FP for Trees, aged Year 1, Years 5 ,Years 10 ,Years 20....
« on: February 24, 2017, 10:27:17 AM »
Hi

I am asked a lot to produce images of proposed master plans, with trees 1 year, 5 10, 20.
I have the itree collections, pine, fir, and the European .

Can anybody tell what collection to use.

I know i could use the scale option in FP, but thats not a real representation of the trees at the ages required.

Advice would be appreciated.

Thank you

Phil

Hi,

I would suggest you try a few free samples from our vendors to see which best suit your needs, but I know for example that both XFrog and Laubwerk offer their plant libraries in 3 ages. Combined with a bit of scaling as well, this might suit your needs. Some libraries also come with and option for GrowFX files, so if you have this plugin you can adjust the trees as you need.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any further questions.

Many Thanks,

Paul

Maxtree are the nicest IMO, but most are 5/10 years and 1/20 will require some tweaking.

Hi

A question,
How do I get more than one tree type in to forest pro with Laubwerk trees.

I am trying to paint an area of large Berms the base with trees , and the top with shrubs.
Then I have to out put images for 1 year old trees  ad shurbs and the 5,  and 10.
So The plug in form Laubwerk dose not seem to work fluidly with forest Pro, as for as I can see.
You have pick the trees you want individually.

The obious answer would be to import the tree you want and scatter them as you need them with P, and then select the age you want in the Laubwerk roll out.
They don't have a forum either.

Hi,

By holding the Control (Ctrl) key you should be able to select multiple items to import (attaching screen-shot). Hope that helps.

Best regards.
