Problem to save an object in a personal library
« on: March 11, 2014, 09:50:29 AM »
Hi
I've a problem to save an object in a library :
First I've created a new folder with success (from a new empty project in Max), created an item/3d object and then right clicked to open properties.
But when I open my max file I have a warning window with "It's not possible to do this operation is a Max object is being created" and "Please open the Library Browser from the Max modify panel and try again".
That's what I did but it doesn't work.
I did a wrong thing ?
Thanks a lot for help
Roland
Edit : Sorry i didn't gave the versions : Max2014, VRay 3.0, FFP 4.2.0

HI,

There are certain Max restrictions to create an item when a Forest object is being created. For this reason, you will find two "Library"buttons: one on the Creation panel and other at Modify. Just open the library and create your items from the "Modify" tab.

Hope this solve your problem ;)

Hi Michal
Thanks a lot, it works. I have just create a spline in a new max file to have a FFP and choose the modify tab to create my item.
Wonderful !
Thanks again
