Control Z scale by texture
« on: June 11, 2013, 12:43:00 PM »
I am trying to control the height (z-scale) of some rods in an FP object by using a simple texture but am not sure how to go about it. Hopefully the attached screengrab will explain. If I can't control the z-scale by texture, is there any way I can use a texture to displace the rods in the z axis?
Kind Regards,
Rich

Please, be sure there is a Surface assigned to Forest. The surface also must include UVW coordinates for the map channel defined in Transform->Scale properties.

Thanks - I will give that a try. I was just using a rectangle rather than a surface.
