Scattering on Vertical Surfaces
« on: November 11, 2016, 10:31:52 PM »
Hi!
I'm trying to apply this tutorial to a complex set of surfaces created in Rhino and exported to Max as a dwg.
I understand that my problem most likely has to do with the orientation of the surfaces, but I can't figure out how to fix it... If it was a single planar surface, maybe I could use normal align with the pivot, but how do I fix this type of surfaces that have multiple orientations on the same surface?
Thanks a lot!

Hi, Forest uses UV coordinates of the surface to align the items. But it seems there is some problem with coordinates of this object (probably due to the import process).
You can fix it applying a UVW Modifier (i.e. Cylinder mode) and clicking "reload" button in the Forest Surface rollout.

I hope that helps.
