forest LOD + boundary edge mode
« on: February 23, 2016, 02:20:36 PM »
hi,
Does boundary edge mode works in conjunction with forest LOD?
I'm trying to optimize a grass preset for an animation but when I use lod, It seems that doesnt take into account edge mode.

thank you

Hi,

Yes, the Edge Boundary Checking mode is compatible with the Forest LOD feature and all should work correctly. Would you mind to specify more in detail the issue you're facing? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the scene. LOD was not the problem, but a bug with Distribution->Collisions->Radius, which affects to Edge Mode even if collisions checking is disabled.
I just fixed the bug for the next Forest update.

To fix it in your scene, please do this:

1) Turn on Distribution->Collision, so you can modify the Radius value.
2) Set Radius = 100%
3) Turn off Collisions.
4) Click Display->Update to rebuild the object.
