Latest version of FP and Max 2023 but still getting an error message

Hi,

I've upgraded to FP 8.06 and 3DS Max 2023 (which includes the latest version of Max to Arnold) and I'm still getting the following error message: "Forest Pack is compiles for arnold 7.1.1, and is not compatible with the current renderer."

It advises me to upgrade both pieces of software.  Which, in my case, is not even possible since I'm using the latest versions.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

The Arnold upgrade is not included with the latest 3DS Max. You must download it manually from www.arnoldrenderer.com/download, as specified in the message box.

Please go to that link, download the latest package for Max 2023 (at this moment MAXtoA-5.5.1.8-2023.exe) and install it. That should fix the problem.

Thanks, that did it.  It's a little misleading in the 2023 changes list I saw, which imo implies that 2023 starts with the latest Arnold version and automatically updates it vs having to do that manually prior to 2023.  That's clearly not the case.
