Layered Base Surfaces
« on: March 10, 2020, 06:02:41 PM »
Hi.

We've just updated FP after long last....

I have a scene where I have 3 grass surfaces being used for a FP.  One is the default flat grass & the two duplicates are subdivided and have a noise modifier

This gives a bumpiness to the landscaping.

Before updating, the grass would only be placed on the upmost faces.

Since updating I have 3 layers of FP grass tiered on top of eachother - one grass object per layer

Does anyone know how to fix this?

-----------------

I hope this makes sense - I can send a screenshot if needed

Many thanks,

Sean

Hi Sean,

creating a Spline Area which will cover the whole Surface Area and disabling that should fix it (items will be projected just over “top” faces of linked surfaces). I’m attaching a sample scene showing this kind of set-up.

Best regards,
