Leaves on Grass Not Appearing On Sloped Terrain
« on: January 22, 2013, 06:22:17 PM »
I've got a sloped terrain with grass.  The grass uses the surface setting and looks great.  I've placed some random leaves  in the scene and set the land as the surface.  The leaves in the viewport are following the terrain nicely, but absolutely refuse to render no matter what I try.

I've adjusted the translation Z percentages upward but that's not working.

I've lowered the pivot point in the leave mesh by varying degrees and that's not working.

When I try this on FLAT terrain, it works great by simply lowering the pivot point a bit.

I'm really trying to achieve a fall look of dry leaves resting on the grass but it's not working.

What am I doing wrong?

If the grass works, but not the leaves, it would be problem of the leaves object.

Please try applying Utilities->Reset XForm to it. If that doesn't solve the problem, send us a test scene to check it.

Tnx, after restarting I think I've gotten it to work.  I have to raise the Z translation but so far so good.  Shame there's not a way under surface to select the grass!
