License Connection Issues
« on: April 22, 2016, 04:30:18 AM »
Hi guys

I have 6 FP and 2 RC licenses sitting on separate Windows 7 server running latest 1.20 of your LM

We have upgraded all 7 workstations to latest FP + RC versions this week : have renewed several licenses and also received from you updated licenses for some products that had been activated too many times all of which are installed and activated AOK

So right now 5 of my 7 workstations are accessing the license server AOK . . . but both myself and my studio manager's pc's are showing errors when we fire up FP in max 2016 . . . however the license server is showing that both our pc's have licenses assigned
Also both our RC's are working fine . . . so what can we do to fix this as it says 'forestpack requires an upodated license . . . please add to the . . . . ' ? ? ?

Regards Scott (Director Atomic 3D)
Cheers

Scott

Hi Scott,
It seems one of the Forest licenses in your server has not been updated correctly. Please, do this:

1) Open Forest in your PC to reproduce the error.
2) Open the License Manager from your server, and see the log clicking License Server->View Log.
3) Find the last entry where the license is assigned the IP address of your computer, such as this:

Code: [Select]
22/04/2016 09:05:21 I Sending license 1234567890 to 192.168.1.2
4) Find that license in the server, and activate it again using the code your received with the renewal.

Note: it's possible that you receive the error in other PC, because licenses are assigned randomly. If so, just repeat the process with the right IP address.
