Flying objects
« on: April 26, 2011, 12:25:37 PM »
I,

i'm just testing a scene with a deformed plane and some grass from r&d. Pivots points are ok but itoo forest scattered the grass with not match on the geometry.
The result are some flying grass objects. See the attach file please.
where is the problem ?

Thanks !

I to meet also a problem which I did not have with the lite version. Little to be also connected to the problem explained above. Gaps in objects 3d as well as zones without any placed objects. I use 2 machines, a worksation and one node. 2 possess the same disk of data and I have never had this problem before. Using max2011 and vray2.

If you modify the surface, be sure to update Forest using the 'Refresh' button (below the Surface list), or turn on the 'Auto' checkbox to do it automatically (this would be less efficient for large surfaces).

If this is not the problem, please send a test scene to support@itoosoft.com or post it here, and we will check it.

I see from your image that the rendering buckets of the slave nodes don't match with the main scene. This problem is usually due to:

a) Different versions of Forest are installed on each rendering node
b) There are nodes of 32 bit and 64 bit mixed (this configuration is not supported).

If not, please render the scene separately on each node, and compare them with the same image rendered in the main workstation. If they don't match, there must be some difference in the configuration.

I try to render just with my workstation and i don't have gaps in my objects.
I've got the same forest version on my only node computer , in 64x too.
