License server error
« on: September 01, 2021, 08:37:41 AM »
When I try to use ForestPack with a VPN connection, I get the error shown in the image. All other PCs are fine.
What is the cause?

Hi Yuji,

I'm sorry to hear, you're facing these troubles. Because of the WSAEADDRNOTAVAIL 10049 Cannot assign requested address (The requested address is not valid in its context. This normally results from an attempt to bind to an address that is not valid for the local computer. This can also result from connect, sendto, WSAConnect, WSAJoinLeaf, or WSASendTo when the remote address or port is not valid for a remote computer (for example, address or port 0)) error you get, please try using the licensing server hostname instead of the IP address. Let me add, that the port 16720 on the license server & all involved computers have to be open both for TCP and UDP.

I hope that helps.

Best regards,
