Copying objects within custom FP don't random rotate/scale
« on: November 17, 2011, 05:32:47 PM »
Sometimes, if we are creating trees within an FP object, we SHIFT+DRAG trees in the plan view (mainly to keep them in the same z position. If we do this, then want to randomly rotate/scale them, they all seem to rotate/scale exactly the same as each other as though they are cloned. How do we make them randomly rotate/scale?
Kind Regards,
Rich

By default Forest clones all the properties, including the random seed of each tree.

You must select the items and click the Re-Seed button, in the Transform rollout.

Gotta love the fact that even digital forests need to be re-seeded once in a while.
