When using the XY Surface mode, the Map Channel should be configured within the map and adjusted as needed with standard modifier(s). There's no need to modify it in the Forest object — just leave it at the default value of 1. Map Channel 0 is reserved for a different ForestPack feature that automatically generates mapping coordinates. In the case of the UV Surface mode, the Map Channel should be set within the Forest object to correspond with the intended mapping channel. I hope this clarifies it.

Best regards,

But it still doesn't clarify this. It's still not working.
Just ONE map at a time works, not multiple. The map channel that is used in the bitmap is seen by ForestPack, and that's it. I can't use map channel 2, 3, or whatever.

Please, iToo team, could you show us a short recording of your setup? Maybe we're missing something?

So it might be a good idea to disable the map.ch. value if XY mode is active.

I just done it for next update. I also limited Map Channel to values greater than zero, since that feature is rarely used.

Attached are sample scenes demonstrating how maps can be driven by different Map Channels. I hope you find this helpful.

Thanks for the samples!
You should have said that earlier that composite or mix map should be used in order to achieve these results.

Thanks again!

You're welcome! I'm glad it helped, and I apologize for the misunderstanding.  ;)
