Match colors on different trees
« on: June 23, 2019, 03:43:21 PM »
Hi,

I often combine different geometry from various packs which have slightly different colour combinations.
What would be the best way to match the colours of different trees for example?
I was wondering if there is a script where you can select the different FP geometry that you'd like to colour correct to apply a linked cc node

I have some maxscripts and code snippets but not yet one that's quick and intuitive to work with.
If this might be possible I can share the scripts which I'm working with at the moment.

Thank you

Hi Pieter,

Thanks for the suggestion. You might be pleased to know that we're re-writing the material optimiser built into Forest Pack to add some features that could be used for this purpose. In this little example, you can see I reduce the saturation slightly and shift the hue for all items in the scatter.

It is also possible to do this filtering by material name to include or exclude objects or parts of objects. If you have any further feedback or suggestions, please let us know.

All the best!

Paul
