Title: max 2016, forest causing viewport to go solid greyish
Post by: iainbanks on September 01, 2015, 11:22:26 AM
Hi

I've been having some problems with max 2016 view port which i initially thought was a max 2016 bug. (could still be) but have since found that it only happens when Forest is visible in the scene.

When cancelling a render with forest objects visible the active full screen view port fills with a solid colour (usually the average pixel colour).  When i hide all forest objects and re-render this doesn't happen.  This is fixed by exiting fullscreen again but will always happen after cancelling each render in fullscreen.

I'm using the latest Forest pack Pro plugin, windows 7, max 2016 SP1 and latest gfx drivers.

A friend of mine also has the same problem.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Iain

Hi Iain,

Would you please also specify the renderer (and its release) you are using? Thanks in advance for your collaboration, your feedback is very important to us.

Best regards,

Same problem here. Quite irritating! Any news on a fix?

Yes, this problem is specific of Corona and is already fixed in our internal builds.

We have plans to release a new Forest version (beta) in the next weeks, including this fix and other new features.

Super, glad to hear it.

Noticed a work around for now is to switch from pointcloud to something other in the display options.
