Max crash when editing a paint area of an oder FP

Dear itoo-Team!

As in the tilte described Max is vrey likly to crash, if I edit a paint area o an older FP-object.
What the worst about that is, that in the recover-file the paint area is then empty.
I merged the paint area from another file as spline and then converted it back to paint. But this takes time an effort.

This issues happens very often in older files.
Is there a way to "refresh" these older forests, to not get a crash?

We have not seen this issue, nor it has been reported before. We are very interested in solving it for You and other users.

Would You please share such a file which is likely to crash with us?
Also, we could try to investigate a max crash minidump file.

this is usually caused by Auto keyframe on. ;-)

I apoligize for my late response.

Since I've posted this topic, I was not able to reproduce the error. Maybe I've had a bad day when the crashes occured.

I will come back to this topic if I've got more information.
