Title: Maximum Density ?
Post by: DS4646 on January 12, 2015, 02:22:39 AM

Hi,
I am curious as to what limits the maximum density ? the maximum objects, polys ?
Is it a RAM limitation or is it set in Forest pro ?
Surely its hardware and not a software limitation ?

cheers

Hi, you can see a detailed description of Maximum Density here (http://forum.itoosoft.com/index.php?topic=1546.0).
We introduced these parameters to keep distributions within reasonable limits. If these values are exceeded, probably there are other ways to get it more efficiently.

Still doesn't answer my question ? Is it hardware or is forrest pro limiting the amount of instances ?

I have some scenes that I can not cover enough ground with grass.
Regardless if I have it set to only show only in camera view.

Forest is limiting the number of instances. You can increase these limits if needed, with Distribution->Max.Density and Display parameters.
What extension do you need to cover ?
