Megascans asset Axis and Scale incorrect
« on: February 19, 2020, 09:32:25 PM »
Hey there,

Sorry I cannot attach an image at the moment as I am getting a file blocked error.

I have imported a megascans object (fbx) into a 3ds max 2020 scene, new scene 1 unit - 1 cm.  The object is too small, so I scale it up about 4 times it's size and then apply a FP object to it.  Two things have gone wrong, the axis is incorrect - the trees are coming out on Y and the trees are ENORMOUS basically they are applying to the same 4 times scale as the object has been scaled.

If I create a normal primative in 3ds max, apply FP the axis and scale is incorrect.

Has anyone had any experience with this before, is there something particular that needs to happen with Megascans FBX objects?

Thanks.

Hi

When importing try other Units factors.
Generally automatic should work best

If that is not correct try other manual options.

Regarding rotation- feel free to rotate objects to the way You like them, and use reset x from utility.

Hope this helps.
