Hi All,
I am newbie to using the forest pro so forgive me if I am missing a obvious thing. All I am trying to do is save select some forest that I have created in 1 scene and merge it into another scene.
When I do that, it seems to come in fine. I select the forest, reassign the custom object ( with the same tree ) re assign the camera. But nothing shows up in my VP or when I render.
The I think the trees are in the scene, due to the overall max file size. But there not showing up?
Any ideas?
Thanks
Alex

Hi,
Please, select the Forest object and click the 'Stats' button in the General rollout. Does it show any error ?, What is the number of items generated ?

I'm having a similar issue with the latest beta version -> just downloaded and installed it. The previous version(s?) had the same issue.
If I select a VRay camera and set it to limit to visible items, nothing is showing up in the viewport AND also nothing gets rendered. The stats tell me "N/A" for all entries.
Even though I understand working with a beta means taking a risk, this was still really frustrating since I'm on a very tight deadline atm and it took me a while to figure out the camera limit visibilty was the issue. Plus I had to go through dozens of Forest objects to disable limit visibility... older versions never had this issue.
The weird thing is, it worked fine up until a certain point. Maybe things went wrong when the total number of items got above a certain treshold? I don't know. All I know is that I need to disable this option ;)
Regards
John

I apologize for the inconveniences, but this issue have not been reported before. If you have a scene that we can use to reproduce the problem, please send it to support@itoosoft.com.
By the way, to remove the camera assignment for all objects, use 'Clear' followed by 'Copy' in the Camera options.

Absolutely no need to apologise! ;) it was just frustrating but I didn't mean to put the blame on you of course!
I have no time to do it now but I will most definitely sent you a (stripped) scene once I'm done with this project which due to the deadline is tomorrow evening (GMT+1).
Thanks for your very quick reply and the tip about camera settings, Carlos! Much appreciated!! Especially considering it's Sunday evening ;)
