Missing asset warning
« on: October 14, 2024, 10:13:04 pm »
We (a team of 3 artists) have been seeing this issue for some time. When we open a 3D Max file with Forest and Raclone objects, it shows a list of missing objects.
We have everything we work on in a server with a shared path and everything set up. We added the Forest library and Raiclone library on that shared server also, all machines have the same exact configuration. We also use 3D Max project Configurator, which creates its own folders and subfolders for rendering output, materials scenes, and such.
With all this said we still get the missing maps and objects warning right after we use any forest or raiclone preset. We have checked each library to point to our shared server, but still 3D Max show missing files.
Your help is appreciated.

Hi,

It’s possible that the plug-in isn’t configured to point directly to the shared drive. I recommend setting it up as described in this post. This should resolve the issue.

Best regards,

Hi, Thank you for the answer. I will talk who IT and see if they can help me with that, I don't have access to registry as it is for now. But we will try to give it a try.
