I've recently upgraded my computer from an old physical hard drive to a Solid state drive. I opted for using cloning software to clone my whole C drive to the new SSD and I never had to do a thing afterwards. Everything was the same.

Maybe not what your after but it's an option not to have to install all programs again & settings etc.

Hi,

Library Browser needs to have a folder structure created with index.xml file (storing all library information needed) and thumbnails folder (containing just thumbnail images). This is created by right click on User's Libraries folder and selecting Create Library. As described in our on-line reference guide:

"When you create a library Forest Pack creates a new folder that includes an XML file and sub folders for thumbnails. This and any other sub folders found in the library location will not be displayed. This allows you to add additional directories for models, maps and materials used by the library without them cluttering up the tree navigator."

So, you can backup / copy your library from it's location at <C:\Users\your username\Documents\Forest Pack\libs> (by default). Once copied, you can map your libraries easily by using the Library Browser's interface. Under File - Preferences ... you'll find Library Paths section. Here by Add... you can map path to any user library. There is no need to use the default location on your new computer.

Also don't forget to backup / copy your models used in these libraries. These "source files" are not included in the library structure.

I hope that helps.

Best regards,
