Display Forest Color in viewport
« on: September 10, 2017, 11:45:19 AM »
Hello,

I am following this tutorial:
https://www.itoosoft.com/tutorials/parking-cars?back=page%3D4

Works good for me, but it there a way to preview Forest Color in the viewport?
Just to have a better knowledge of the results.

Hi,

To maintain the optional performance, the Forest Color map is calculated just durting the rendering, therefore there's no view-port preview generated (the V-Ray's IPR might be an option). Let me add, that the Material > Color Tint feature generates the view-port preview, if that helps.

Best regards,

Alright.

Another question. When using the "Enable Horizontal Mirror" it does flip the object.
But in this case we are talking about vehicles, so it also flips the driver's seat, plate number, model numbers etc. So it just looks funky when making closer shots.
Is there another way to make it work but also avoid touching the "Enable Horizontal Mirror"?

edit:
Just realized it could be done easily with a curve.

All good  :)
