Forest Pro 5.2 Octane instance bug realtime

Well, Forest Pack includes animation features, but it doesn't animate the geometry by itself. It gets the animation samples from the source object (currently, any of bundled presets aren't animated), i.e. animated meshes or procedural plants as GrowFX.

Unfortunately, in case of Octane renderer the Randomise and control animated geometry feature isn't supported (current implementation returns only a pointer to the Custom Object in the scene and a transformation matrix, so all items are pure instances of the original geometry, and animation samples are ignored). You can see the list of supported features in our on-line reference guide.

I'm not talking about the animation) do not have interactive density changes, it works only if the source code is on a tick

I'm afraid, as mentioned on following "BUG with Octane??" tightly related thread: "... the exporting process of Forest to Octane is not interactive, it is necessary to use "update render geometry" each time. The "movable proxy" has no effect here. Really Forest does not work as a standard object of the scene, but a generator of other objects.

In this case, we have not details about the implementation of Forest in Octane, because it has been developed by the Octane team (we only have provided to them an interface to the Forest items). You can ask in their forum to know more."
