Bending geometry for fabrics
« on: July 10, 2012, 11:12:48 AM »
Hey all,

I'm trying to scatter and bend a load of threads around an object, but I cannot figure out how to keep the mapping (I'm using a map to control the rotation), and at the same time allowing the geometry to cover the entire surface.

If I change the surface Mode to UV, the geometry is scattered around the surface, but it changes direction.

Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

Thanks,

Dean

Please, try turning on the UV Transform->Align checkbox. That should solve the alignment problem.

In fact, the next release will set this parameter on by default, since it is the logical choice for the UV mode.
