License server and VPN
« on: September 11, 2012, 04:24:09 PM »
Hello, I've recently purchased 2 network licenses for a small office and it's working good so far. Now, what I'd like to do is to use one of these licenses from home. I've tried establishing a VPN connection using Teamviewer between the Pc at the office running the license server and my Pc at home but it's not working. Any help would be appreciated.

Both Pc are running Windows 7 x64, 3ds Max 2009, ForestPro.

We have not tested the Licenser Server with Teamviewer, but it should work with any standard VPN connection. Please, check this:

1) Test the connectivity with the server using a "ping" command.

2) Be sure the port 16720 is not being blocked in the server side. It must be open both for TCP and UPD.

3) Use Start Menu->Itoo Software->Forest Pack Pro>Change License Mode, to change the network license settings from "Search for a license server automatically" (default value) to define specifically the address of the server.

Thanks it worked =), the problem was Windows Firewall blocking the connection.
