We currently use octane's legacy mode for itoo so our evaluation times each frame is almost instant. The problem is limited to camera view (with animated camera) or animated meshes inside itoo do not work. That's why we have to use direct mode. But direct mode rebuilds every single itoo in the scene making eval time around 30-40 sec per frame. That's a lot for animation.
I dont know if you can help Otoy with this. We told them many times to keep legacy mode for stationary itoo forests and direct mode for only itoo with animated camera or meshes. Thank you.
