optimized materials and override
« on: January 21, 2013, 10:40:29 PM »
Hi
I have optimized materials and then within the forest color turned on override and then changed the gradient colours, which was ok but i decided that i prefered the scene without the override and although i have switched the override off the trees are still using the gradient, do i need to do something else to revert back?
Thanks

If Override is off, Forest applies the tint color defined in the Material rollout of the Forest object.

To disable it, just set the range of Material->Color Tint->Random Strength to zero: http://www.itoosoft.com/forestpack/reference/refmaterial.php

Probably the tint effect was not visible before, because all tint modes require to use Forest Color or Forest Material (which didn't exist before applying the material optimizer).
