Title: Pebbles in Box
Post by: amitgedia on May 27, 2020, 12:39:57 PM
Hi guys,
was wondering how to make pebbles in box
tried doing it via FPP but didnt get the desired result (3dsmax 2017, Vray Next, FPP 3.6.0)
Hope somebody can help

Thanks in advance
Amit

If such high precision is needed, then You will need some kind of physics tool to distribute, scattering is not enough.

Hi Rokas,
I dont require full and exact precision just want to fill the box with or scatter the box with pebbles, the box should be filled with stones thats the end goal and it should not protrude out from the sides of the box while scattering

Thanks
Amit

... and it should not protrude out from the sides of the box while scattering

That is what i mean by precision, and thus requiring physics simulation.

Ok got it. Then i have to try physics or massfx.
there are no chances with FP or RC ?

There is a way to create the result using either FP or RC. But You would need to set up segments is "physical way" to begin with.

ok like stacking splines on top of each other and giving it spline thickness in FP parameters.. right ?
