Pflow Streamline
« on: March 16, 2017, 12:04:37 AM »
Is there a streamlined utility yet to generate a ForestPack distribution from Pflow Particles?

Is creating a triangle shape instance -> Create and link a mesher ->  TreeEditor -> PerFace Center -> Create -> Delete Mesher -> Turn off Particle Flow -> etc really the quickest way?  If so it would be great to create a utility that just creates a Forest Pack object from a PF Source.

Bonus points for including Thinkbox PRT readers.

Hi,

Having the Particle Flow system just as base for the Mesher Compound Object and use that as "help surface" for the Forest object is the currently recommendable way.

We'd like to add support for particles & point cloud objects (link directly the particle system together with the Forest object), but let me add, that's not something feasible in the short time period. Thanks for your comprehension.

Best regards,

I posted a script which will work on particle systems smaller than about 20k particles.
