Surface
« on: January 22, 2010, 09:17:52 PM »
I want to be able to place trees, custom.

Then pick my Editable Mesh as the surface.

It basically doesn't move or displace any tree in the Z and glue onto the surface?

Am I approaching this incorrectly, is not not a feature, is my surface of a wrong format?

Thank you,

chAz

Be sure that "Link to surface" checkbox is enabled in Surface rollout, or click "Place Trees" button to displace only the selected trees.

If this doesn't work, probably the surface has the normal vectors flipped. Apply a "Normal" modifier to it, trying the different options (Unify / Flip). You can also send us the surface for checking.

Thanks, unify; collapsed the stack, and the jumped right down onto the surface.

Thanks again!
